Do I need to have my gown cleaned before sending it for preservation?
Wedding Gown Preservation Company will handle everything your gown needs to prepare for proper preservation, so there is no need for you to have it cleaned prior to sending it to our boutique.
What exactly is the process you use to clean the gown?
Wedding Gown Preservation Company employs the use of several different cleaning processes, carefully evaluating each gown to determine its best-suited cleaning method, depending on its condition upon arrival. All of our processes are safe, gentle, and environmentally conscious. After evaluation, your gown will be fitted on an acid-free bust form and packed in our acid-neutral preservation chest. Please note: shoulder pads and bust pads may cause damage to your gown over time, so these pieces must be removed during the preservation process. They will be wrapped in tissue paper and packed underneath your gown.
What can be seen in the display window?
In the window of your Wedding Gown Preservation Chest, you and your loved ones will be able to enjoy viewing your gown and veil on full display. Your other beautiful bridal accessories will be positioned at the bottom of the window, where possible, or packed underneath your dress.
What else can I send along with my gown?
Along with your gown, you are welcome to include your veil, headpiece, gloves, garter, moneybag, handkerchief, slip, flower girl gown — any small memorabilia from your ceremony that you wish! Additional fees may apply.
What kinds of repairs are done to the gown?
Wedding Gown Preservation Company prides itself on having a highly-trained staff of garment experts that can handle most repairs for a nominal fee. Please note on your paperwork if you would like to arrange a call to receive a repair quote.
Is my gown guaranteed?
YES! We provide a 20-year guarantee against caramelized sugar stains or yellowing. If your gown is found to have signs of these damages, we will happily reprocess it for you at no additional cost. Although this is a rare occurrence, if reprocessing is found to be unsuccessful, we will refund you the entire preservation cost.
